Berkhamsted successfully received funding from the Countryside Agency and Dacorum Borough Council, together with support from the Berkhamsted Town Council, to recruit a Project Officer to assist in taking forward the projects and co-ordinating the activities of the BCP.

Berkhamsted Community Partnership

Improving Berkhamsted for its residents and visitors...

The partnership is currently launching its new Small Grants Scheme. This scheme aims to support the activities and projects of local community groups by providing small grants of up to £100. The activities and projects involved must simply improve the quality of life of people living in Berkhamsted and surrounding villages. The application is short and very simple, with the intention of enabling local groups to realise their aims, without the normal red tape that fund raising entails.

Small Grants Scheme

Consultation with local people has identified the need to improve accessibility to and the high cost of sports facilities in Berkhamsted. This project aims to encourage healthy living and exercise in Berkhamsted by installing outdoor exercise equipment along the canal tow path or its environs. These activities would be free and accessible to all.
